Optical Coherence Tomography & Digital Retinal Photography
What is OCT?
OCT stands for Optical Coherence Tomography. OCT works a little like ultrasound for the eye. It shows us beyond the retinal surface and gives a cross-section view of the layers of tissue behind, helping us to spot abnormalities up to five years before a traditional test.
What can it check for?
* Glaucoma
* Age-Related Macular Degeneration
* Diabetes
* Macular Holes
* Vitreous Detachment
The sooner we detect them, the sooner we can help you treat them.
We recommend you have an OCT as part of your eye examination for peace of mind.
The fee for OCT & Photography is: £35.00.
This includes a full analysis of the results by one of our Optometrists. OCT Screening will safeguard your eye health against potentially ocular diseases.
