Eye Emergency in Chelmsford
We are registered under the Primary Eyecare Service for Mid Essex to undertake work for the NHS by offering:
MECS – Minor Eye Conditions Service in Chelmsford
CES –
This service allows for any problems, unrelated to your vision where a sight test would be neccessary, to be assessed by our accredited Optometrists under the NHS.
This means that instead of contacting your GP or A&E you would be able to see our Optometrist who would then, after consultation, advise you accordingly or refer you on if neccessary.
We can of course see you privately under our own scheme if required.
If you require emergency eye care out of normal opening hours then please contact Broomfield hospital on 01245 362 000. Broomfield Hospital also has an Ophthalmology Eye department that provides specialist emergency eyecare e.g. sudden loss of sight, painful red eye and eye infections.
Please note that all serious medical eye conditions can only be treated by medical eye doctors. If you think you have a serious condition then please go to Broomfield A&E department straightaway.
Broomfield Hospital is located on Court Road, Broomfield, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 7ET.
